International festival "Uzum Sayli" takes place in Tashkent region

The ceremonial opening of the festival was conducted by the Hokim of Tashkent region, Z. Mirzaev, and the Chairman of the Tourism Committee, U. Shadiev. In their welcoming speeches, they emphasized that the "Uzum Sayli" festival serves not only as a platform for promoting agricultural products but also as an important venue for showcasing the region’s tourism potential. It was also highlighted that such events contribute significantly to the widespread promotion of national traditions, folk crafts, and local cuisine, which greatly stimulates the development of both domestic and inbound tourism.
The festival features exhibitions from farming enterprises across all regions of Uzbekistan, domestic wineries, and manufacturers of natural beverages, juices, and concentrates.
The program includes agricultural fairs, exhibitions of international wine industry brands, international conferences and forums on viticulture, exhibitions of national clothing, and auctions.
The cultural part of the festival features performances by national folklore groups, pop artists, republican competitions in various categories, exhibitions of handicrafts, national dishes and costumes, as well as displays reflecting folk traditions and customs.
Participants in the international festival "Uzum Sayli" include representatives from Uzbek ministries and agencies, accredited foreign organizations and diplomatic corps in the country, as well as the head of the Italian Winemakers Association Leonardo Commucci, director of the International Marketing and Winemaking Association of Florence Luciana Sao, professor of Cappadocia University in Turkey Haliburak Sakal, along with scientists, experts, and leading industry representatives from more than 30 countries, including Indonesia, Turkey, Serbia, Russia, Korea, Singapore, Belarus, Georgia, and Azerbaijan.
It is worth noting that in 2024, the event was attended by over 460,000 local and foreign tourists, and this year, about 500,000 festival guests are expected.
