UN Under-Secretary-General highly commended the results achieved in our country in the field of Sustainable Development Goals

Within the framework of the UN High-Level Political Forum taking place in New York, USA, a meeting was held between the UN Under-Secretary-General – Head of the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs, Li Junhua, and the Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Umid Abidkhadjaev.
During the dialogue, UN Deputy Secretary-General Li Junhua highly praised the results achieved in our country in the field of Sustainable Development Goals.
At the meeting, the parties discussed digital connectivity, increasing the share of high-tech products in the economy, and the importance of targeted investment in infrastructure for obtaining data dividends.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to involve experts from the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs in the implementation of projects in these areas, as well as to organize a mission of the department to Uzbekistan.
