Korean experts deliver practical training for startups in Uzbekistan

A training session was held at U-enter, bringing together around 30 participants, including representatives of the startup ecosystem, young entrepreneurs, and participants of the country’s innovation ecosystem. The event was organized by IT Park Uzbekistan in cooperation with Gyeongbuk Technopark (GBTP), the U-enter innovation center, and with the support of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). The training was conducted by experts from South Korea, who shared practical strategies on attracting investment, entering global markets, and making effective management decisions.
Gyeongbuk Technopark (GBTP) is a government organization in South Korea that supports small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the high-tech sector. The center provides consulting and infrastructure support, and manages technoparks, business incubators, and acceleration programs.
The event was opened by Elyor Maksudov, Startup and Investment Development Director at IT Park Uzbekistan, who emphasized the importance of such educational initiatives in fostering the local innovation ecosystem. He expressed confidence that the knowledge gained during the training would be effectively applied in practice by the participants.
The training was delivered by members of the Korean delegation, including Yeongho Park, President of the AI Institute for the 4th Industrial Revolution; Yeongmin Kim, Partner at the venture capital firm Enlight Ventures; and Hyeonuk Jeon, CEO of the South Korean startup platform beSUCCESS.
The experts provided actionable insights on how startups can successfully attract investment, why young teams often face challenges in decision-making, and how to begin the journey toward international expansion through effective B2B marketing strategies.
Participants received practical recommendations and tools to improve their business models and scaling strategies.
This initiative further strengthens cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Korea in developing the startup ecosystem, provides access to international expertise, and contributes to building a sustainable innovation environment in the country.
