Visitors had the opportunity to receive detailed information about the university’s academic programs, ask questions about admissions, the learning process, and future career opportunities. They engaged directly with students and representatives from IT companies and attended presentations on bachelor’s and master’s programs.
IT Park University is the first university in Uzbekistan specializing in applied education in the IT field. The university was established in cooperation with the international IT company EPAM and IT Park under the Ministry of Digital Technologies.
The event was opened by Abdulahad Kuchkarov, General Director of IT Park Uzbekistan, and Bokhodir Ayupov, Director of IT Park University.
“Our goal is to develop a strong reserve of talented young people who are in high demand not only in Uzbekistan but also internationally. We believe that IT Park University will, in the coming years, train a new generation of specialists capable of working on global IT projects and creating competitive solutions,” - said Abdulahad Kuchkarov.
In his remarks, Bokhodir Ayupov spoke about the university’s new concept in the Central Asian market. He noted that classes at ITPU are conducted directly by global specialists from EPAM, preparing students to tackle real-world industry challenges from their first year. The university places particular emphasis on practical training, the development of the startup ecosystem, and involving students in project activities. Most ITPU students launch their own startups by their second year and actively participate in national competitions and grant programs. The pride of the university lies in its students and graduates who have proven the effectiveness of this practical approach and who have reached the finals of the President Tech Award competition.
Currently, more than 400 students are studying at ITPU, with 80 students comprising the university’s first graduating class. Of these graduates, 80% are already employed, working in major companies such as IT Park, TBC Bank, Alif, Beeline Uzbekistan, and the international company EPAM. Furthermore, two students are completing internships at Apple, further confirming the high quality of education and practical training at ITPU.
Representatives from partner organizations attending the event—including IT Park, IT Bilim, TBC Uzbekistan, and the IT Community of Uzbekistan—spoke about current trends in the IT industry, the importance of practical education, necessary skills, and open opportunities for young professionals.
One of the highlights of the day was the announcement of the results of the Exam Challenge competition. Ilyos Avazboyev, who achieved the highest score among 159 participants, was named the winner and awarded a MacBook. The second-place winner, Behruz Nodirov, received Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones, while third-place winner Abdulloh Sodiqov was awarded Sony WH-CH720N headphones.
At the conclusion of the event, an open discussion was held involving industry representatives, educators, and prospective students. Participants were able to ask questions directly to experts about emerging trends in IT education, seek advice, and establish professional connections.
During the event, attendees received comprehensive information regarding the admissions process, study conditions, and future employment prospects. University representatives provided detailed explanations about application deadlines, entry requirements, and program options. This open dialogue helped many young people make informed decisions about their academic paths and offered practical guidance for exam preparation.
