Key Priorities in Public Service Delivery Discussed at High-Level Session of UN Forum

The session provided a vital platform for discussing the central themes of the Forum, facilitating an exchange of national experiences, and reviewing ongoing and planned measures in the area of public service delivery.
Held in a roundtable format, the discussion followed a question-and-answer structure, enabling participants to share insights and perspectives on the following core areas:
– Strategic approaches to the Forum's main theme: “Five Years to 2030: Accelerating the Delivery of Public Services for a Sustainable Future”;
– Experiences in digital transformation, innovative methods, and the development of inclusive public administration services;
– National strategies and forward-looking initiatives aligned with the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov took part in the session and outlined Uzbekistan’s ongoing reforms in digitalizing public services, promoting openness and transparency in governance, and developing responsive, citizen-oriented services.
He further underscored Uzbekistan’s commitment to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the importance of international cooperation, and the adoption of innovative solutions to meet contemporary governance challenges.
Participants also exchanged views on the future of public service delivery, the role of the public sector in addressing global challenges, and emerging models of cooperation. The discussion concluded with a shared recognition of the need to further advance innovative, sustainable, and inclusive approaches in public administration.
This session marked a significant step toward strengthening international coordination in the modernization of public service systems and improving service delivery outcomes for citizens.
