Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov, as part of his visit to the People's Republic of China, held a meeting with the leadership of the Asian Infrastructure and Investment Bank (AIIB).

During the discussions, the parties discussed the development of digital infrastructure in Uzbekistan and financing mechanisms for prospective projects in this area. The Uzbek side also provided information on initiatives with international companies operating in the digital sector.

The meeting also covered current reforms in the field of information technologies, priority directions in the digital economy, tax incentives, state programs aimed at creating highly qualified jobs for young professionals and expanding access to digital services across Uzbekistan’s regions.
