Key Players of the Startup Ecosystem Discuss Plans for 2025

The event convened representatives from IT Park Ventures, AloqaVentures, United Ventures, Sturgeon Capital, UzCard Ventures, as well as incubators such as U-Enter, C-space, and Startup Garage. Additionally, key partners, including Umeda Rakhimova, Artem Panferov (AI Lab), Startup Weekend, and other major ecosystem stakeholders, attended the meeting.
Opening the discussion, Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, emphasized the significance of developing venture funds and supporting startups.
"IT Park Uzbekistan is always ready to contribute to the development of the country's startup ecosystem. In collaboration with our partners, we are creating an enabling environment for both local and international startups to scale their ventures in Uzbekistan," he stated. He also announced plans to expand efforts in the regions to accelerate the development of startup communities beyond Tashkent.
Artem Panferov, Founder of AI Lab, outlined plans to host two hackathons and an incubation program in partnership with IT Park Uzbekistan, aimed at fostering greater collaboration between developers and investors.
Sukhrob Gaibulloev (Managing Partner of AloqaVentures) presented key initiatives of the fund:
- Consideration of investments of up to $20K for idea-stage startups;
- Under new strategies, AloqaVentures plans to invest up to $1 million in startups.
The participants engaged in discussions on joint initiatives for 2025, including educational programs, acceleration initiatives, and the attraction of international startups.
The meetup reaffirmed the commitment of key ecosystem stakeholders to advancingUzbekistan’s startup landscape. With new investments, educational programs, and regional initiatives, 2025 is set to be a transformative year for the growth of innovative projects in the country.
